Wedgemere is a passenger rail station on MBTA Commuter Rail's Lowell Line.[2] Wedgemere and the following station, Winchester Center, are, according to town legend, two of the closest-together railway stations in the world. The two stations are about 2500 feet apart. With the closure of the Bay Meadows Caltrain Station in San Mateo, California, which had been about as close or closer to the Hillsdale Station, this may be true.
